Records show Stalin was confident that the USSR would win the war at all times, but the fact is we will probably never know for sure.
Hitler probably would have won WWII
The would be Joseph Stalin.
Joseph Stalin was born on December 18, 1878 and died on March 5, 1953. Joseph Stalin would have been 74 years old at the time of death or 136 years old today.
I only remember Joseph Stalin by what was written about him in history books. Otherwise, I would not remember him at all. When someone says his name I immediately think of a ranting dictator who wanted his own way and would kill even those closest to him if they did not give him what he demanded. I also remember him with this big smile on his face when his picture was taken and often thought, "How in the world can he smile with so many dead people buried beneath the ground he is walking on. Dead and buried because of him and for what?"
I believe it would be Joseph Stalin
Churchill thought the Joseph Stalin and Russia would break the good relation the U.K. had with U.S.A. , for their own benefits.

a dictator he was like Hitler and would not be pleasant to meet
It may have been a distant dream of Joseph Stalin to have the USSR dominate the world. He was far to conservative to believe that was possible, as much as he would have liked to see it. On the other hand, Hitler was convinced he and Nazi Germany could very well have world wide domination.
Joseph Stalin hoped that the Treaty of Versailles would result in Hitler causing a Civil War. He wanted Communists to take over the country of Germany.
