The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) officially began in 1830 in Fayette, New York. Ten years previous, Joseph Smith, then just 14 years old, was visted by God the Father and Jesus Christ. Over the next 10 years, he was visited by various heavenly messengers who restored the authority and teachings of the original Christian Church. The first official meeting of the Church was held on April 6, 1830 and consisted of the friends and neighbors of Joseph Smith's family.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) was officially organized on April 6, 1830 in Palmyra, New York. Mormons believe that they are practicing the same religion found in the Bible, so many Mormons would answer this question by mentioning Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
The Mormons were hoping to find the freedom to practice their religion in peace and without persecution.
The Mormons were searching for a place where they could practice their religion in peace and found that place in Utah.
If they don't like Mormons, you would probably call them "bigots". If they don't like the teachings of the Mormon religion, you would call them 'Anti-Mormons'.
No, Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons are not the same religion. They have different beliefs, practices, and origins. Jehovah's Witnesses focus on evangelism and believe in a strict interpretation of the Bible, while Mormons believe in additional scriptures and have unique teachings about God and the afterlife.
