Mosskit, one of the three kits Bluefur(star) had, died from the cold when Bluestar was giving her kits to their father, Oakheart. Bluestar tried to keep her warm, but the wind and snow killed the helpless kit.

Mosskit was a character from the book series "Warriors" by Erin Hunter. Mosskit was the daughter of Bluestar, leader of ThunderClan, and Oakheart, a warrior from RiverClan. Unfortunately, Mosskit died as a kit during a harsh winter while being escorted to RiverClan with her littermates.

∙ 12y agoMosskit was one of Bluestar's (then known as Bluefur) and Oakheart's kits. Her coat was gray-blue like Bluestar, but she had white splashes of white here and there. Her sister is Mistyfoot anf her brother is Stonefur. These kits had solid gray-blue fur. These Bluestar had her kits but then realized that if Thistalclaw (her sister's (Snowfur) mate) would become deputy. He only solves problems with tooth and claw and she knew ThunderClan would be destroyed in blood if he became leader. Deputies cant have kits, so she told Oakheart that he needed to take them to RiverClan and that they could never know who their mother was. One night, Bluestar told her kits that they were going to play a game. The point of the game was to get to Sunningrocks as quite as possible. The problem was that it was Leafbear (winter) and the whole forest was caped in snow. The cats took breaks occasionally. During the last resting spot in a dent next to a tree, Bluestar nuzzled her kits awake. Mistykit and Stormkit crawled out of the den, but Mosskit stay unmoving. Bluestar nugded her and licked her, but the kit did not stir. Bluestar quickly covered the tiny body and told her kits to keep going. She told her kits that she would go back to get their sister after they reached Sunningrocks. When they got there, Oakheart was waiting. Without a glance back, Bluestar ran back into the forest, ignoring her kit's wailed out questions. She stopped next to the place she buried Mosskit and said a prayer to StarCan. Mosskit was dead.
