The effects are vast and numerous and complex to describe. He will have affected millions of Africans on a personal level and also on a political level.

He has encouraged a rebellious attitude towards a government that is perceived as unjust. Although in many dictatorial states he will have probably strengthened the determination of the dictatorial regimes to get an even tighter grip on the peoples' lives to prevent uprisings. So in a way he has both stimulated and impeded the democratization in Africa.

All in all he has had a very positive empowering influence on Africa and many Africans.

He tried his best to make the Africans in South Africa equal to the white people in South Africa. Or have the same rights
