Chief Osceola and Renegade
In 1812 the Seminoles were a loose confederation of bands led by individual chiefs. The first "head chief" of the Seminoles was Micconapy, who served as head chief of the Oklahoma Seminoles from about 1840 until his death in 1849.

Osceola led a small band of warriors in the Seminole resistance during the Second Seminole War when the United States tried to remove the Seminoles from their lands.
