Pandora was given a box by Zeus (god) containing all evils in the world Pandora did not know what it contained but was told by Zeus not to open it she got tempted and opened in it releasing all evils in the world releasing
disease, despair, malice, greed, old age, death, hatred, violence, cruelty and war.
she slammed it shut and open it again leaving only the spirit of hope
There are several gods and goddesses involved. Hephaestus(craftsmanship) created Pandora at Zeus's request, Athena provided her clothes, Aphrodite provided beauty, and Hermes gave her the gift of speach. Prometheus stole fire and gave to Pandora which greatly angrered Zeus. Prometheus's bother Epimetheus creates Pandora's box(technically a "jar") upon Pandora opening it released all the evil upon the world.

She released all evil and bad things such as wasps, dragonflies, danger, hatred, etc. which Prometheus, god of forethought, had given to his brother, Epimethius, who had left and forgotten to lock the box up. Pandora was curious and opened it. But Prometheus wasn't stupid; he had also locked up hope in this box.
Pandora (according to greek mythology
Pandora opened up a box that released all sorts of evil nasty things into the world.
Pandora was actually created by all the gods. Zeus commanded Hephaestus to mould her first out of earth. The gods then all offered her 'gifts' to make her unique. She was nicknamed 'Beautiful evil'. Pandora was 'the first woman' and was created as part of Prometheus's punishment for stealing fire from the gods. Hope this helps.
She wasn't evil, just curious that is why when she realized What was in it, she closed it. So not everything got out.
she was the one who let evil into the world ! ms.lee-lee bby
She plagues the world with evil.
Pandora was the very first woman who was formed out of clay by the gods. The Titan Prometheus stole fire from heaven for humans. Zeus was angered, and commanded Hephaestus and the other gods to create a woman, Pandora, and endow her with the beauty and cunning. He then delivered her to Epimethius, the foolish younger brother of Prometheus, for a bride. When he had received her into his house, Pandora opened the pithos (storage jar) which Zeus had given her as a wedding present, and released the swarm of evil spirits trapped within. They would ever afterward plague mankind.
Only in that she is the first woman (Eve: Christian/Pandora: Greek) and that her curiosity (Eve: Apple/Pandora: Jar) "opened" the way of evil into the world.
The story of Pandora is similar to the story of Adam and Eve in the way that Pandora was the first woman to be created on Earth in Greek mythology, and Eve was the first woman on Earth in the Bible. Both women unleashed evil on to mankind. Pandora was created out of Zeus' anger towards man and Prometheus' stealing of the secret of fire (Zeus was not happy that Prometheus informed mankind of fire), so he gave Pandora a pithos (jar) as a wedding gift when he had her married to Prometheus' younger brother. She opened the jar when she got to her husband's home and it released evil spirits that would forever haunt mankind. Eve tempted Adam to eat the forbidden fruit, the original sin. However, it should be noted that Eve was a gift of companionship and Pandora was created to hurt mankind.
