at that time jackson thought that the national bank was for the elite, so by fighting to close it he believes that he is helping the common man. he also strengthened smaller banks so that it was eaiser to loan money for the common man. these moves illustrates his belief in demoracy, because when more common people are getting loan its alot more democractice then the elites getting loans. from VCHS
