Rosa Parks refused to move to the back of the bus when asked by the bus driver. After this a bus boycott came about, lasting for about a year. a boycott is when you refuse to do something. All blacks refused to ride buses until they were allowed the same privilege as whites. After this she became a leader for the Civil Rights Movement
