they dindnt dummy
They were but they did not make good slaves. The purchace of Africans from the Africans gave better slaves.
Yes. The Spanish tried to make slaves of the indigenous people, but it did not work well, so Africans were imported to be slaves instead.
Africans were not the only enslaved in American history. Mostly Asian slaves built the railroad. Maybe even Irish. But anyway mostly africans were slaves because it just happened to be Africa that America decided to take people from and make them slaves because they were different. Thanks for the answer! Really helped
Actually they didn't. In 1693 if a slave could make his or her way to Spanish held St Augustine Florida they would be free. Before the south had the Underground Railroad there was one going to Florida for escaping slaves.
everyone who was taking africans and using them as slaves were profiting from them so africans thought they could do it to make money off of the slaves being taken
Because other African tribes defeated them in battle and captured them as slaves, then sold them to Europeans. Note, it was other Africans that made slaves of Africans and took them from their homes, not Europeans.
The Americans would make the Africans do their farming and picking cotton for them. It would be easier if they had Africans doing the job for them as they are a different color to the British and Americans so they can easily find out who are the slaves and who are not. thanks
destroy all there buildings and make spanish buildings
Slavery is reprehensible to all sensible people at all times. However, the fact that Africans kept slaves, and bought and sold slaves, and rounded up slaves to trade to Europeans helps us understand the fact that slavery was permitted in nearly every part of the world.
Black Americans are mainly the descendants of black Africans. And most of those were brought to America as slaves, originally.
yes its why they sold them to white folk is because they were already slaves just the same as some white ppl enslaved some white ppl
The Spanish needed slaves for labor in industries such as agriculture, mining, and construction. Slaves were also used to support the growing economy of the Spanish colonies by providing cheap and abundant workforce.
