∙ 11y agoWhen Velociraptor hunted for small prey such as mammals and lizards, it would ambush and then strike, capturing it in its mouth, killing it, and then eating it. For larger prey, such as Protoceratops, Velociraptor would ambush, then possibly sprint to capture it. Once it got a hold of its prey, it would stab the victim in the throat with its sickle claw in order to kill it.
