He wanted to join the army during WWI but was to young, so he signed up as a volunteer for the Red Cross and managed to go to France to drive an ambulance for injured soldiers. He went bankrupt once because of his business, but he managed to pay his debts and start over. After a bad business deal someone stole a character he created, they also took all of his animators; and he managed to pull through with a new character: Mickey Mouse. He made the first animated feature film (Snow White) and won Oscars for animated Cartoons.
