It depends what file was corrupted. The Xbox did nothing, but an update may have fixed it.

It is possible that the lens on the disk drive may be dirty. If this is not the case, then your disk drive is probably corrupted.
Basically - you can't. You're better off reverting to the restore-point befor the corrupted one, reinstallinfg any new software, and re-typing any lost data. Once you've done that, create a new restore point after the corrupted one.

Corrupted data is just your saved file of a game that didn't save correctly. You probably turned off your PSP while the game was saving. Most likely, you will have to restart that game that has the corrupted data.
