Braille influenced history by helping the visually impaired to read and write my giving them a sense of normality therefore letting them under their free will to correspond with others through journals, diaries, books, and notes.

It was written in raised print, but it had examples of Braille in it.The first full-length book published in Braille, "A Brief History of France", came out in 1837.
