Herman E. Calloway
Grandpa
In "Bud, Not Buddy," Bud's main goals are to find his father, whom he believes is Herman E. Calloway, and to find a place where he belongs and can feel at home. Along the way, he also hopes to learn more about his family history and his own identity.
I do believe it is Chapter 17. (when Herman thinks Bud's rocks are his, Bud is forced to say his mother's name, and then Jimmy says Herman could possibly be Bud's grandfather.)
His suitcase of course! It has his only belongings in it,including posters that advertise "The Dusky Devestators of the Depression",the band his grandpa is in.
Bud solved his problem by remaining resilient and determined in the face of challenges. He used his resourcefulness and creativity to find solutions, and sought help and guidance from others when needed. By staying positive and persevering through adversity, Bud was able to overcome obstacles and achieve his goals.
In "Bud, Not Buddy," the main character, Bud, faces difficult challenges and experiences setbacks as he searches for his father. Some of the bad things that happen to him include being mistreated by various adults, facing hunger and homelessness, and struggling to find a sense of belonging.
Some settings are: The Amos's house, the Y, his grandpa's house, Flint, and Grand Rapids.
