When the Earth was just a big ball of magma, the magma started cooling, while the Earth was cooling steam was created and, steam is a gas. Then the steam eventually turn to vapors and, those vapors had formed clouds an the cloud grew more and more over time. An the density of the clouds grew over time it had finally rained. It rain more than a thousand years everyday all the time. An it rained so much that oceans were forming and, while those oceans were forming more were forming .Later on it stopped raining it thing we able to produce.
