an eating disorder usually starts when a person has body issues. They tend to think they are over weight, and want to shed pounds fast. Sometimes, the person really is over weight and has struggled with dieting, and they turn to starving themselves to look better and be healthy. it also has to do with wanting to fit in and be like celebrities.
