The Early Egyptians were the first to find out about make up.The royal family were the only ones wereing make up. At that time even men were allowed to were make up. Poor people could not afford make up at that time, it was too expensive. The pharohs wore very dark make up.

Wealthy nobles had jewelry made of gold, silver, or precious stones. Their colorful jewelry stood out against the white linen clothing that they wore. They incorporated many minerals into their jewelry including amethyst, garnet, jasper, onyx, turquoise, and lapis lazuli, as well as copper, gold, and shells.
