Most went by ship. Some actually walked to other nations to get away from Hitler's regime. Some drove cars to other nations and managed to get planes or ships to other countries. Some went by boat in the English Channel or to the Nordic countries. In the begging of the war and before the war some were able to travel in trains but once Hitler's regime took over they were really strict about who rode on trains. They cracked down on all forms of transportation. So some people had to sneak out of their countries.
