The horses changed lives of the plain Indians because before the horses the Indians used dogs to transport goods from one area to another, but now with the horses, they can transport much larger quantities. Another reason it changed their lives is that it offered a mobile hunting platform, along with the fact that the American Indians herded buffalo off cliffs. Also, the horses allowed the Indians not to be trampled to death by their livestock and the animals that they hunted.
