Dill, Jem, and Scout were going to the Radley's house to see into the house when they were almost caught, and when they were rushing away Jem lost his pants. Later when confronted about why Jem didn't have any pants on, Dill made up a lie saying that he lost his pants during strip Poker.

∙ 12y agoFirst of all Jem is a BOY! He loses his pants when he is running away from the Radley place after hearing a gun shot, he gets them stuck in the fence. When he returns he finds them untangled and neatly on the floor, we find out this was Boo who did this :) hope this helps

∙ 12y agoJem slowly creeps under a fence trying to be sneaky and unseen by Mr. Nathan Radley and while he is trying to be sneaky a giant octopus pops out from the ground and starts stripping Jem of his clothing!! Fortunately Dill gets Jems pants free just in time to run from evil moles that were shooting guns at the children. That is how Jem lost his pants.
Jem lost his pants while trying to escape from the Radley house's fence after getting caught in it while fleeing from Nathan Radley. He had to shed his pants to free himself and escape back home.
