Henry VIII changed English history in quite a few ways:

1. He was the first person to divorce without any proof that he and Catherine of Aragon were related. (In the 16th Century is you and your wife found out you were related you could write to the Pope to say that you were related.)

2. He made the Church of England. (This made the country Protestant even though he wasn't the first Protestant. Martin Luther was. Henry VIII thought that is Martin Luther could do it why couldn't he)

3. He created the Royal Navy.
