The Zeppelin boys came out of a late 1960's England, where American blues was a very popular form of music at the time. Their albums reflect this, especially Led Zepplein II (late 1969), as they succesfully created a fusion of blues and rock in their music throughout their 12-year existence, and ultimately influenced dozens of bands to come later. Indeed, many musicologists credit them with creating "heavy metal".
