How did mark Anthony and cleopatra meet?

First of all, it's Antony. The answer is, it is thought that Cleopatra and Antony met When Cleopatra was very young. It was during the time that Ptolemy XII was away from Egypt (he was run out because he had spent money that Egypt didn't have) and Cleopatra was with him (It is thought that he took Cleopatra with him when he was run out of Egypt). However this is just speculation. There is absolutely no proof that Cleopatra was with her father when he was in exile. Antony could have been introduced to her along with the other members of the royal family when Cleopatra's father was restored to the throne, as Antony was the one who led the Romans on their mission. He also more than likely was introduced to her when she was in Rome, as Antony was also in Rome at that time. At any rate, neither one of them actually knew each other until Tarsus.

We don't know how they met. We do know about the big elaborate show that Cleopatra put on at Tarsus but its highly possible that they were introduced to each other while Cleo was at Rome. They also could have been introduced to each other at the time that Antony restored Cleo's father to the throne.
