Peter Salem, a black soiler and patriot was born on October 1st, 1750. (It is unclear whether this is his actual birthdate, but this is when it is celebrated.) Peter Salem was actually born in 1761 and fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill at the age of 14.(It is still unclear when his birthdate is.) He would not actually born in 1750 because he fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill that took place on June 17, 1775. He would be 24 years of age then. Since the battle took place at that time he would be 14 years of age.
I had that question and I just said that he fought at bunker hill. =)
