Raavana sent one of its demons named Maaricha who appeared as a golden deer and came to the attention of Sita. Then she requested Rama to fetch the deer and bring the same to her. Rama kept the request and asked His younger brother Lakshmana to safeguard Sita until he comes back. While going after the deer Rama understood the deer is not a real one and it is a trap and he targeted the deer with his arrow. As the arrow hit the deer the deer turned to its original shape and shouted "Lakshman" for help opening a path for another trap. Listing this Sita asked Lakshman to go and help Rama but Lakshman denied telling nothing can reach harm to Rama and it may be a trap. Then Sita accused Lakshman as a betrayer and after that Lakshman was forced to move out of the hut leaving Sita alone to help Rama. Before leaving he drew three lines in front of the cottage requesting Sita not to cross these lines till he comes back. Now Raavan arrives in the appearance of a Saint and begged for food. Sita who was not supposed to cross the lines drawn by Lakshman cross the lines in order to show her sympathy to the Saint who was in need of food and fell in the trap of Raavana. Now Raavan appeared in his original image and took Sita in his Pushpak Biman
