Yes. As far as we know, Snowkit is dead.
Despite this, there have been many fan fiction stories written by fans of the series about Snowkit returning to the clans, or surviving and going on an adventure of some sort. You can find many of these stories on fanfiction.com.

Or, in the special edition Bluestar's Prophecy, a different cat named Snowkit was turned into a Warrior, Snowfur. She dies by chasing a ShadowClan cat onto the Thunderpath and she was hit by a monster and she instantly died.
Snowkit, a character from the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, dies in an avalanche. He is unable to hear the approaching danger due to being deaf, leading to his tragic demise.
