The gunpowder plot was a fail. Before Guy Fawkes could light the gunpowder (which were in a cellar in a house next to the house of parliament), soldiers caught him. He was guarding 36 barrels of gunpowder! Fawkes was tortured until he owned up and the other 7 were caught and were hanged, drawn and quartered. The other 5 men escaped from London.

in September 1782 when Indians and British soldiers attacked Fort Henry, Virginia the gunpowder ran low in the fort. her brother's cabin was near by she volunteered to run to the cabin and get the gunpowder stored there. several other volunteered too but she argued that she knew where the gunpowder was stored. so when she went out of the fort the Indians and British soldiers were to shocked to fire at her. when she reached the cabin she grabbed the gunpowder and put it in her apron and ran back as fast as she could to the fort. the siege lasted another day and thanks to her the settlers didn't run out of gunpowder. the attacker eventually gave up and fled

Stone cannonballs did not contain gunpowder; they were solid projectiles made of stone or iron that were fired from cannons. The purpose of these balls was to cause damage through kinetic energy upon impact. Gunpowder was used separately in the cannon's chamber to propel the cannonball out of the barrel. However, some later types of projectiles, like explosive shells, did contain gunpowder or other explosive materials.
