Technology can provide the motivation and direction for scientific research as well as the tools to carry it out.

New technology often requires new understanding; new investigations often require new technology

become more aware that telescopes magnify the appearance of some distant objects in the sky, including the moon and the planets.

The number of stars that can be seen through telescopes is dramatically greater than can be seen by the unaided eye.

Modern telescopes with their ability to see greater distances and details have answered many of the questions of the universe. The cumulative knowledge about the universe is resolving issues such as the birth of stars and galaxies.

Our naked eyes have limited resolution and range when looking at objects in the distance. For instance it is not possible to see the rings around Saturn with naked eyes, and it is hard to distinguish let's say the different satellites that orbit Jupiter and Saturn, or to see other planets. With the telescope it is possible to make more accurate observations of the solar system and later galaxies. The observations of the solar system with accuracy and repeatability, helped the credibility of a heliocentric system, as the evidence gave undisputable proof that our system of planets has the Sun and not Earh at the centre of the system.

Methods that are used to explore the universe?

The universe can be explored by astronomical instruments called telescopes, and by space probes sent from earth to other planets. When using telescopes astronomers try to look at the energy being produced by the universe not just in the visible part of the spectrum (where our eyes can see) but at the whole range of electromagnetic radiation. We thus have radio telescopes, infrared telescopes, X-ray telescopes and even some telescopes that are buried deep underground looking for neutrinos. Most of the telescopes are set in mountains for they can rich more.

Why galaxies are considered the major features of the universe?

The major feature of the Universe is still unknown. Remember that there are black holes too, which can be more massive than some galaxies. A reasonable knowledge of the Universe shall come gradually, when more poweful space telescopes shall be developed, improved.

What instrument can penetrate the gas and dust of the universe?

How does telescopes help tell us more about the universe?

It helps you learn more about the universe because you can see most of the things surround the earth.

Is is true that telescopes will become insignificant?

This is never likely to happen. There will always be an instinctive desire for knowledge in humanity. If you mean will we ever discover all there is to know? Then that is an absolutely impossible. The universe is always changing and growing and there will always be more to learn.
