Apache Indians lived by using the animals around them for food and clothing. For example, they would eat Buffalo meat and use the hide to make protective clothing. They traveled around mostly, never settling in one place and learned to make due with crops such as beans, corn and watermelon.

The Apache Indians were nomads that slept in what is called a wickiup. Not a teepee or tent. They carried their lodging with them as they moved with the seasons.
