It didn't change history very much. It was in 1770 and there were other events like it, but we know about it because of the handbills that Revere drew showing the British firing on colonists. It was all propaganda and to get people upset over having the British troops in the colonies. John Adams was the lawyer for the British soldiers. It will be another 6 years before the Declaration of Independence and 5 years before Concord and Lexington.
