Near the end of the war, the British had ordered forced recruitment of colonists to fight. This "draft" was not a very popular move amoungst the colonists. In addition they regularly commandeered wagons and supplies from colonists, often time without compensation, and housed themselves in private homes without colonists' permission.

So, he made The Proclamation of 1763 that explicitly stated he would not protect anyone who settled west of the Appalachians. Also, he started taxing the colonists to pay for the expensive war.

The colonies became unsettle because the colonies have the greatest change of regulations and because so many new regulations came out in such a short period of time, colonists had to change their lifestyle frequently.
The events at Lexington and Concord changed the conflict between Great Britain and the colonies by having the First Continental Congress have a Second Continental Congress to create a document declaring it's independence (the Declaration of Independence) for it's country, which was approved on July 4, 1776.
