They also started killing buffalo for hide and the Native Americans worshipped and relied on the buffalo for spiritual beliefs, food, clothing, warmth, but the U.S. only wanted the buffalo for money. they wasted the buffalo and the Native Americans didn't like it, which lead them to the Indian Wars.
