They didn't like it because the U.S. Government kept making them move after tricking them into treaties and they literally were hypocrites since they kept on going against their own words but not letting anyone else. They also started killing buffalo for hide and the Native Americans worshipped and relied on the buffalo for spiritual beliefs, food, clothing, warmth, but the U.S. only wanted the buffalo for money. they wasted the buffalo and the Native Americans didn't like it, which lead them to the Indian Wars.

Indians reacted in a variety of ways. Some reacted with violence by killing and/or enslaving the inhabitants, then pillaging and burning the settlement to the ground.
