Samuel Slater (9 June 1768 - 21 April 1835) was an early American industrialist popularly known as the "Father of the American Industrial Revolution" because he brought British textile technology to America.
The industrial revolution was a period that saw dynamic changes in manufacturing. It began in Britian in the mid-1700s with the invention of spinning machines and then spread to the United States. New machinery and the employment of interchangeable parts allowed the mass production of a wide variety of goods. As a result, large parts of the country were experipencing prosperity by 1818

the industrial revolution was bad times. little kids had to work in factories and what not. New developments were made with large cities. And the populatoin was dramtically increasing.
