How did Columbus's journey affect European society?

It didn't affect anyone. In fact, he was considered a failure because he didn't bring back the promised gold and riches. Modern times has made Columbus a bigger star in his time than he really was. The only reason we have Columbus Day is because the Italian American's wanted a day very much like the Irish St. Patrick Day. The funny thing is Columbus is not Italian, but Spanish.

How did the wars attempting to expel the Muslims from Spain affect Spain's colonial goals power structure accomplishments and treatment of native Americans?

There are really four distinct questions here because the Reconquista is being analyzed on four distinct issues: (1) Spanish colonial goals, (2) power structure in Spain (3) the accomplishments of Spain, and (4) treatment of native Americans. The Reconquista had profoundly different effects for each of these aspects of society:(1) Spanish Colonial GoalsOne of the major effects of the Reconquista was that it created a centuries-long culture in Spain of Crusading and Knights, where valor would be measured by raising up a powerful military and fighting for dominance and supremacy. With the final defeat of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, Spain now had the problem of continually generating prestigious warriors who now had nowhere to go. As a result, when Columbus discovered the West Indies, there was a a strong desire to send these men to conquer them and enlarge the Spanish Empire. Additionally, the Spanish need for gold to support the economy and desire to expand the Catholic faith played into the colonial expeditions. As a result, Spain was much quicker to embrace this expansionist view and, correspondingly, they overran the largest percentage of the New World and the most desirable portions of it.(2) Power Structure in SpainThe Reconquista effectively united the various kingdoms of Iberia (except Portugal) in a single national union, even before the concept of the nation-state had come to the fore. The centralization of authority and power was necessary to remove to Muslims who had used the disunity of the Christian Kingdoms at any earlier point in order to play them against each other. The Union of Castille and Aragon in the Spanish Crown was a direct result of the Reconquista.(3) Accomplishments of SpainSpanish accomplishments in creating unity after the Reconquista also led to the Eviction of the Muslims and Jews and the Spanish Inquisition. It was not impossible to imagine that Muslims and Jews might rise up together to rebel against the power of Spain and try to secure a new Muslim country. Not wanting this to be possible in the slightest, Queen Isabella evicted most of the Muslim and Jewish population and forced the remainder to convert to Catholicism.(4) Treatment of Native AmericansSpanish actions in the Reconquista had almost nothing to do with how they treated Native Americans. Spaniards actually had a number of laws in the 1500s that specifically differentiated Native Americans from the Iberian and Moroccan Muslims and considered the Native Americans to be superior to the Muslims. The only real connections between Native American policy and the Reconquista are twofold: (1) Muslims were banned from the colonies within the first few decades of colonization and all Muslims or former Muslims who had been brought to the colonies were deported back to Europe and (2) there was a strong Catholic evangelism in order to prevent the Native Americans from ever converting to Islam (among many other reasons).
