Actually they built 3 Olympic-class liners. There were 3 ships of the same design known as the Olympic class. The 1st was Olympic, the 2nd was Titanic and the 3rd was Britannic. It does take a long time to build ships like this but the Olympicc and Titanic were built side by side with Olympic started three months before Titanic so that the shipbuilders could move from one ship to the other as soon as they finished one stage. The completion of Britannic was delayed by the sinking of Titanic, so that safety modifications could take place. It was the largest of the three, two feet wider than the Titanic.
The replica of Titanic in China will not be designed to recreate the sinking of the original Titanic.
RMS Titanic (Royal Mail Steamship)Also Known as the Titanic
The Titanic went to Southampton in 1912, the same year that the Titanic was actually built.
The movie "Titanic" was made with a fake Titanic, as the real one was still underwater.
theirs no such thing as "titanic plates" only techtonic
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio
they will never get the titanic out of the water because the titanic is so fragile at the minute if we move it at all it will just end up worse so there is no point really. i think it wouldn't change the ocean surface in anyway because they wont be able to move the titanic unless they get some classic technologhy to do the trick :)
Some people belive there are spirits abord the Titanic, but personaly I belive there isn't because the spirits must move on right? So in theory no spirits are abord the Titanic, that's that! Thanks ;)
Celine Dion's performance of "My Heart Will Go On" was released prior to the filming of the movie "Titanic".
It did try to but it was such a large and heavy ship that it couldn't move all that way in such little time.
Yes, she was steered (unsuccessfully) but the engines were not reversed.
Cruising was 24 mph up to a maximum of 28 mph
30 metres per second
The Travelling Exhibition has removed over 18k artifacts from the wreck of Titanic and displays them in shows that move from city-to-city. Several Titanic museums do not believe in salvage, however, and do not stock items salvaged from the wreck.
Well, most people think it's too dangerous to move her now. If they had this much Techology back in 1900s, Titanic prob. will be sailing right now.
