World war two differed from world war one because world war two was provoked by Adolf Hitler wanting to take revenge on The Triple Entente for humiliating Germany, which in his eyes were the greatest. Both battles were huge losses to the Germans.

WWI was fought in the trenches. WWII saw huge tank battles.
