A few things, people started to spread out more and develop new towns and cities to escape the plague epidemic in the larger cities. Population growth was curbed and economic factors improved due to the strain on resources being lessened.
Basicly there was more food and jobs available for the people who were left afterward to their quality of life improved, people were less confined to the cities in large numbers so they were eating better, their environment was cleaner, and they had money to spend.

The Bubonic Plague killed nearly 80 to 90 percent of the population killing 1 out of every 3 people. the cause of the plague were fleas which were carried by rats which lived on boats. The people didn't know what was causing the plague at the time and thought it was a message from God. Hope this helps!

There is one event, which is the Black Death, or Bubonic Plague in medieval times. People believed that the cats carried the plague, but they made a big mistake in killing off the cats. The cats were natural predators of rats, the actual carriers of the plague. Decrease of cats means increase of rats, plague, and victims.
