The plauge got to Europe and England by infected rats with infected fleas on them. They came from a ship and the rats and fleas started spreading the diseases throughout Europe and England.

The Black Death, or Bubonic Plague, lasted about five years. It killed 25 million people, one third of Europe's population.
It didn't. Perhaps you are referring to the Plague Pandemic, but that didn't occur until the 1340s.
