Percy fought Mrs. Dodds on the bus on page 19 of "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan.
The Furies attack him, Annabeth, and Grover.
In "The Lightning Thief," the bus stops on a stretch of country road because it encounters a monster attack. Percy and his friends are forced to confront a creature that poses a significant threat, leading to a chaotic situation. This moment serves to highlight the dangers they face on their journey and sets the stage for their adventure ahead.
In "The Lightning Thief," the first book of Rick Riordan's "Percy Jackson & the Olympians" series, the bus that Percy and his friends are on is attacked by monsters, specifically the Fury named Alecto. During this encounter, the bus is damaged, and the trio is forced to abandon it to escape. The bus serves as a significant plot point, illustrating the dangers they face on their quest. Ultimately, it emphasizes the chaotic nature of their journey as demigods.
Chapter 10 in Rick Riordan's The Lightning Thief is called "I Ruin a Perfectly Good Bus". In this chpater Percy Jackson and his friends Annabeth and Grover leave Camp Half-Blood for their quest, board a bus, and are attacked by the three Fates, three of the worst monsters in greek mythology. Percy then uses Annabeth's invisibility cap to escape, but has to save Annabeth and Grover first, so he grabs the wheel of the bus from the driver, and steers it to the left, causing the Fates to loose their balance and fall. The bus later smashes into a tree, and while the other passangers and driver on the bus get off, Percy, Annabeth and Grover try to defeat the monsters. When Percy 'insults' Zeus, Zeus sends down a lightning bolt and destroys the bus. Percy, Annabeth and Grover made it out safely though.
In "The Lightning Thief," one instance of foreshadowing occurs when Percy finds the three ancient prophecies on the Oracle of Delphi, hinting at the trials he will face and the significant choices he will have to make. Another example is when Percy encounters the Furies on the bus; their ominous presence suggests that he is being watched and pursued by powerful forces, setting the stage for the conflicts ahead in his quest to recover Zeus's stolen lightning bolt.
The Minotaur threw a cow at Percy's car causing Sally to swerve and crash.
