by the wegner theory that seafloor spreading is going on
Continental drift explains how the continents have moved in the past and how they will move in the future; continents are constantly moving, although, obviously at slow rates.
the theory that states continents have move is that every year the continents move 1 inch and after a year they move 365 inches you can tell they move by them being one big continent called PANGAEA. you guys are really stupid if you listen to my friend
Continents are moving slightly almost all the time (from the plates moving) they do stay still at some points (how do you think continents formed from the supercontinent pangaea? They moved from multiple different events such as ocean currents and plates moving)
Alfred Wegener was looking at maps once, (as he was a weatherman) and found the edges of each continents fit together like a puzzle. He researched it, and then came up with the theory of Continental Drift. The people did not accept his theory, and asked what made the continents move. He thought that that was not his problem, but the people of the world's problem.
You can not DECIDE where to move continents, the movement of continents is a natural geological process, nothing man does can affect it.
Every year continents move about.. your pointer finger length.

Seafloor Spreading helped move the Continents to their current location.
Pangaea
Because the continents move because of the continental drift
The continents are situated on top of tectonic plates which float on the Earth's magma under the crust. This means that the plates move about, which means yes, the continents will move but it will be very, VERY slow.

Alfred Wegener (Ve-ge-ner) is the man who created the Pangaea theory which is when all the continents were once one big continent. Pangaea is derived from the Latin word "pangeo" which means "all earth".
according to scientist the answer is yes, yes they were connected to form a super continent known as Pangaea research Pangaea on Google or something to find out more
Pangaea came together over a period of time spanning the Carboniferous and Permian periods. It broke up mostly during the Jurassic period.
The major issue in that regard was that Wegener did not have a plausible mechanism by which continents might move.
its all due to contintal drift. there was a continant called Pangaea which was all the continents today all put together and because of continental drift the Pangaea was separated to what it is today.
