Do you mean the Dust Bowl? If so, that was a time in the 1900s where it was really dusty and it was a horrible drought. For this reason, food was tainted by the dust, and crops weren't growing///they were blown away. Many people invested lots of money to grow the crops so when they had a poor turn-out economically the farmers of the world weren't doing very well economically.
