Haiti is an overpopulated country with a virtually nonexistent government. So, where buildings fell, they fell on people. Also most of the aid that is being sent to Haiti (mainly money) is being hoarded by the wealthy. This is leading to looting and killing for necessities. But every time supplies are sent they go to the same people. Which is why so many Haitians are coming to America.

In addition to the loss of houses, the earthquake in Haiti had devastating impacts on the population. It resulted in the deaths of over 200,000 people and injured many more. It also caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including hospitals and schools, and disrupted access to basic necessities such as clean water and food. The earthquake also led to social and economic upheaval, as it worsened poverty and unemployment, and displaced thousands of Haitians from their homes.
