The first working television was not demonstrated until 1925 by John Logie Baird In London. In the 1800s there were many who were working on the technologies surrounding television including a German Engineer called Nipkow who was working on an optical disc to capture and display images electronically. Others were developing electrical and optical systems that would also play a part in the early televisions.
