Army
New taxes were imposed by the king.
because, the French and Indian war was over and it cost a lot of money. King George the third thought that it wasn't fair that he had to pay everything when he and his army was protecting the colonists. He thought that it would be fair that the colonists pay him for things that came from Britain.
During the American Revolutionary War the colonists sought money as well as supplies from the French. This included troops, munitions, and Naval forces.
The Proclamation of 1763. It was a document produced by Parliament and the King of England after the French and Indian War that was an attempt to repair the relationship with the Native Americans. The Indians and the colonists had a tumultuous relationship right from the off, stealing each others' land and food, murdering each other, and the like. When the Indians sided with the French against the colonists in the French and Indian War, as you can imagine, it just got worse. When the war was over, the king tried to fix things by ordering the colonists to give back the land they had seized and outlining borders they were forbidden to cross. They mostly ignored this proclamation.
Indigenous tribes got the shaft and the French could never again show their faces in battle for their shame of defeat was too much to stand.
The American colonists objected to many things the British burdened them with. Taxes were a sore point. Long before the "revolution fever" took root, the colonists were upset that they would be taxed to offset the costs incurred by the Crown in the French and Indian War.
The soldiers were in Boston because of the Quartering Act which states that British soldiers will stay in colonists house. The colonists must give the soldiers food, clothes, materials, a bed, a room, and other things. This enraged the colonists. The soldiers would give in return protection from other countries or the Indians from the French and Indian War.
"Les choses changent" ou "rien n'est immuable"
After the French and Indian War, they were in GREAT Debt and needed money desparately. They passed the Stamp Act and Sugar Act so they would put taxes on things that the colonists wanted. The colonists were angry so as a result, the Boston Tea Party came and dumped a LOT of tea into the Boston Harbor.
Les choses changent
The British issued it so that the colonists would not enter or cross the land of the Hudson River Valley. This caused the colonists to be angry because they had won that land anywayin the French and Indian War. The Proclamation of 1763 was one of the major things that led to the American Revolution. And it was issued because the Indians were attacking those who came past the Ohio River Valley and into their land, and because Great Britain didn't want extra expenses to pay while the colonists were spreading out into new territories. They were in debt after the French and Indian war and couldn't afford it.-lol I had a social studies unit on this and no I'm not a nerd hahah:)
