In England , We have a Bomb Shelter and there would be many of these throughout the world . But these shelters are only for people who are High up in life.. We would have to find our own places to hide !!

Great Britain definitely had bomb shelters for not only the general populace but also the government during the Blitz.

After May 1941, the bombing raids became less frequent as Hitler turned his attention to Russia. Nevertheless, the effects of the Blitz were devastating. 60,000 people lost their lives, 87,000 were seriously injured and 2 million homes were destroyed.The Blitz - 7 September 1940 - 10 May 1941 .
The Government sent barrage balloons into the air. The large barrage balloons were strong enough to destroy any aircraft hitting into it. They also sent Anderson and Morrision shelters to residents of Britain so they could shelter there when the Blitz began.
