Best Answer

A volcanoe under the sea erupted and thus forming the many different islands of Tonga. How they were established to be individual islands of Tonga were probably by the people who resided on each island and their respective chiefs- who named their island. Main islands include Tongatapu, Ha'apai and Vava'u.
