The Power of kings was severely limited as kings now had to listen to a group of other people (what would develop into the first parliament of England), and the king was no longer above the law.
However, in reality, little of the changes were actually implemented on right away. It would take years for kings to truly abide to the document but the Magna Carta was still the first step to limiting the king's powers.
The MAGNA Carta effected the King John's power because, he could not put any innocent person in jail, he could not collect money from anyone without a reason.
The first document to reduce the powers of the English monarchs was the Magna Carta, or Great Charter in English, signed in 1215 by King John.

Hi

magna carta
The Great Charter or 'Magna Carta' was forced on King John by the Barrons in 1215 . This limited his powers and granted that the privilages of the freemen would be upheld. Prior to this the powers of King John were only limited by the will of God. After the Magna Carta it was limited by Law.

The Magna Carta restricted the power of the King and his Nobles. It made the King subject to the law. Before the Magna Carta, the King was above the law, and thus could do whatever he wanted. Even stuff that was illegal for the common English citizen and serf.I hope I answered your question. :D
Its "False" because the magna carta intended to decrease the power of the monarchy's power created from the parliament.
The Magna Carta, signed by King John of England in 1215, was a document that advocated for limits on the power of the government. A group of barons forced King John to sign the Magna Carta to limit his power over them and protect their rights.
