The Polar Bear plunge habitat at the San Diego includes 4.4 acres, and the actual plunge holds 130,000 gallons of water, (or if you'd rather, liters 494,000). The water is cold too, chilled to 58 degrees Fahrenheit, (14 degrees Celsius), and four Polar Bears share the plunge habitat, with diving ducks, and reindeer separated by a large moot.
