Answer this question… Allied powers took over German colonies and profited from them.
The Treaty of Versailles had both an economic and nationalistic effect on Germany. The economic effect of the Treaty of Versailles had to do with the substantial amount of money that Germany had to pay for the war, because the blame was put entirely on them. Also, the German people lost pride in their country because they were embarrassed about the outcome of the war. These effects of the Treaty of Versailles also brought about Hitler's rise in power.Germany had to too negative effects they were nt supposed to have any army ,forcibly give Alsace nd Lorriane to France, germany industrial area were occupied, german colonies were taken away n given as mandate to the victorious power
The biggest negative effect of the Treaty of Versailles was on Germany. The treaty destroyed the German economy. This forced Germany to borrow money from the United States in order to pay.
The Treaty of Versailles was viewed as humiliating by the German people and Hitler channeled German anger into support for his empire-building vision of Germany's future

Yes if the German people were not so unhappy with it's terms and effect on their daily lives, Hitler could not have risen to power so easily.
The treaty was very harsh, particularly on the German people & economy. The Great Depression had a great effect on the Germans....Hyper Inflation led to great poverty. (People took their money to market in a wheelbarrow & took home their goods in a wallet !) This led to the rise of German Nationalism & the popularity of the Nazi party. The Versailles Treaty did not bring about WW2 in itself, but might well be seen as a contributory factor.
