Funny, you have the exact same question I have for my ancient Egypt quiz!! 6th grade.... sorry getting off topic {LOL} Okay, so I'm pretty sure this is the answer: First, there were mastabas, but then pyramids came because one of the pharaohs wanted something more than a mastaba, and then robbers robbed the riches from the pyramids, and they took a long time to build, so they decided just to bury them under the hills of the desert... and that's all I got :)
Hope this is okay
Haha, this is the exact question for mine : Write a paragraph describing how the tombs of the pharaohs gradually changed during the history of ancient Egypt.
so, summary : 1-mastabas, 2-pyramids 3-under the desert
My understanding is that the Egyptian pyramids have changed mainly via wind erosion and constant buffeting with abrasive sand. Of course, this is in addition to damage caused by earlier archaeologists. The pyramids in Nubia were made out of red mud brick and are much older than the ones in Egypt. The Egyptian started making their pyramids out of granite and they served as astrological observatories. Also, the Egyptians started encasing their pyramids in limestone.
It influenced it by making pyramids tall and with steps so the Pharaohs could climb to the gods.

Although a change such as the change from Ancient History to the Middle Ages is always gradual, the accepted date for the change is 476 AD. This is because 476 AD is the year when the Western Roman Empire fell to the invasion of the Vandals.

Ancient Egyptians used the Nile River to move nearly everything, from imports and exports to Pharaohs and sarcophagi. Most Pharaohs were buried in the Valley of the Kings, not in pyramids. This change in burial practices was due to grave robbers. Pyramids were somewhat like a billboard sign to thieves saying, "Here's the gold and jewels and all of my most favorite of life's possessions! Come and get them!"
Minimalist composers use repeating rhythms and harmonies that change gradually.
The people known as pharaohs would help out the New Kingdom and change Egypt by giving them tributes and give them things and barter with them also with trading.
